Our Financial Policy
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our office and to assure you that Wahoo Dental Associates is committed to providing you with the best possible dental care. Please read the following information regarding our financial policy. We will gladly discuss your proposed treatment and assist you with any questions relating to your insurance.
Please bring your insurance cards with you to each visit, as there are often updates in addresses or changes in your plan that we must know in order to file your claims correctly. Your copay is expected at the time of service. If you do not have insurance, full payment for services is expected at the time of service. To assist you we accept cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, and Care Credit.
If you have insurance coverage, we will file all insurance claims as a courtesy. Your coverage is a contract between you and your insurance company. Please remember that not all services are covered benefits in all contracts. Some insurance companies arbitrarily select specific services they will not cover. Due to patient volume and the number of different insurance companies and plans, we are not able to know exactly what is covered under your specific plan. We treat patients based on dental needs and not necessarily on what your plan will cover.
Payment of co-pays and deductible is expected at the time of service. This amount is typically 20% of the fee for work such as fillings and extractions, and 50% for major work like crowns and bridges. Deductibles are typically $50.00. Your individual plan may vary and it is your responsibility to inform us if your benefits differ. Should your insurance pay more or less than the fee collected, we will mail you a reimbursement check or statement, accordingly.
Please note, our doctors participate with the Ameritas (includes Principal and The Standard Dental Plans), and Blue Cross and Blue Shield PPO networks. We are Premier level providers for Delta Dental. Please contact your insurance company for coverage differences between Premier and PPO Delta plans, as plans may vary.
Payment options are as follows:
New patients: Full payment/copayment is required at the time of service.
Existing patients: Full payment/copayment is required at the time of service. We may offer to bill you if you are in a PPO network that we participate with.
Crowns, bridges, partials and dentures must be paid at 50% on the day the teeth are prepped. The remaining balance is due upon completion of treatment.
You may be required to pre-pay a deposit upon scheduling and pay the remaining balance the day your teeth are prepped.
This allows us to deliver your lab work without any financial complications.
Any balance that remains past due for 30 days or more is subject to a monthly interest charge.
APR is 15.6%; Minimum interest charge is $1.00.
We understand that temporary financial problems may affect timely payment of your account. If such problems do arise, please contact us promptly for assistance in the management of your account.
To assist you in the payment of your account, we proudly accept Care Credit for outside patient financing. We participate with 6 month no interest plans and, when applicable, 12 month no interest plans through Care Credit. Care Credit is available for those who qualify. Please ask our staff for more information, or visit their website at www.carecredit.com to apply.
